If you experience SMTP delivery errors

If you are sending using your own mail server and you encounter SMTP delivery errors, here are some things to try:

  • Check that your Internet connection is still up.
  • Make sure that you have entered the correct address, port, username, and password for your mail server. Configuring Direct Mail to send using your mail server
  • It is possible that your mail server administrator has set a limit to the amount of email you are allowed to send. See "About rate limits" for more information.
